Time Attack EVO takes first place at Japfest Time Attack Event

The day was eventful to say the least. First time out in practise, the shift in the gearbox became a little bit ‘iffy’ so we called Sonny in and adjusted the settings on the Ikeya formula shifter a little.
In the 1st qualifying, the bolt holding the Ikeya formula shifter came loose and fell out leaving us unable to shift, get in or get out of gear!! Real heart attack type stuff.
We managed to find a bolt/nut to keep the shifter together and managed to put down 59.46 in the 2nd qualifying round. The fastest lap time on the day at that point.
The hot lap style was new to us. Sonny pushed the car as hard as he possibly could and put down an exceptional time of 59.411 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than the open class winner, a full 1.3 seconds faster than the next competitor in the Pro Class and also the best time for us this season.

We will be implementing changes to the car for next season to change the look of the car as well as to give us an edge over the rest of the competition:
New Aero – higher GT wing
Lower front splitter
Revised suspension settings
Further weight reduction
Remap for even more power and more boost. ;-)
