Congratulations to the OPH race winning Lotus Elise at the weekend taking 1st in the Saloon Libre on Saturday and 2nd in the Saloon Libre on Sunday. Saturday’s race was a no brainer with the Porsches given a 15 sec head start with the other classes starting after that. Connaire put in a commanding lead and proceeded to take 1st for the day in the Saloon Libre. Driver Connaire Finn was leading in most of Sunday’s race but was put off the track by a backmarker. This setback caused the car to drop back to 7th and 8th placing. However, good driving allowed Connaire to claw back to second place. The contest again for first was ongoing but the race was over before a decisive challenge could be mounted.

OPH’s Lotus Elise is built and maintained by Optimum Performance and Handling (www.oph.ie). The car sports a bespoke Honda K20A conversion. This car is powered by a Hondata K Pro ECU that was fitted and mapped here at Couture Auto. Hearty congratulations and may the car overtake many more Porsches.

Congratulations are also due to Dave Donoghue in his Citroen C2 Rally car taking 3rd place in the 1st Rally Sprint event followed by a 1st place in the 2nd event in the Phoenix Park Races. This car runs a 1600cc C2R2 engine on throttle bodies. The car runs a 5 speed Sadev sequential dog box. The car is powered by an OMEX 600 ecu that was mapped here in Couture Auto.

The Pink Pig was out at the weekend and put down very impressive times in the Saloon Libre class. However, a big off put the car out of action for the rest of the day. This car runs Motec M800 and was mapped here in Couture Auto.
